Laser distance meter generally use two methods to measure distance:
pulse method and phase method.
The process of pulse distance measurement is as follows: the laser emitted by the distance meter is reflected by the object to be measured and then received by the distance meter, and the distance meter records the reciprocating time of the laser together. Half of the product of the speed of light and the reciprocating time is the distance between the distance meter and the object being measured.
The accuracy of the pulse method to measure distance is generally about +/-1 meter. In addition, the measurement blind zone of this type of distance meter is generally about 15 meters.
How to use the distance meter:
1. Arrange the instrument
First arrange the theodolite on the measuring station. After centering and leveling, place the host device of the distance meter on the theodolite bracket, lock it with the fixing screw of the connector, insert the battery into the bottom of the host, and fasten it. Arrange the reflecting prism at the policy point, center and level it, and make the mirror face the host.
2. Observe the vertical angle, temperature and pressure
Sight the center of the target plate with the theodolite cross wire, and measure the vertical angle α. At the same time, observe and record the temperature and barometer readings. Observing the vertical angle, air temperature and air pressure, the purpose is to correct the slope distance measured by the distance meter, temperature correction and air pressure correction to obtain the correct horizontal distance.
3. Ranging preparation
Press the power key "PWR" to turn on the machine, the host will self-check and flash the original set temperature, air pressure and prism constant values, after the self-check, it will flash "good".
If you modify the original setting value, you can press the "TPC" key and then input the temperature, air pressure or prism constant (usually input one by one through the "ENT" key and number keys). Under normal circumstances, you only need to use the same type of mirror, the prism constant will not change, but the temperature and air pressure may be different every time you observe, you need to set it from the beginning.
4. Distance measurement
Dispatch the host's sight axis horizontal adjustment handwheel (or theodolite horizontal micro-motion spiral) and the host's pitch micro-motion spiral, so that the distance meter telescope can accurately aim at the center of the prism. In the case of "good" flashing, accurate aiming can also be judged by the movement of the buzzer. The stronger the signal, the greater the movement. The distance meter is moved up and down, left and right, to maximize the movement of the buzzer, and then the accurate aiming is finished. "*".
